Career Compass is built for young people. We take privacy seriously and process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Norwegian law.
Synchrocity AS is the data controller for personal data collected through Career Compass. Contact: post@synchrocity.no.
We only process data necessary to operate the service: name, school affiliation, the student's answers and reflections in the tool, and technical data required for operation and security.
The data is used to give the student a personalised learning journey, to give the teacher a basis for guidance, and to improve the pedagogical quality of the service.
Processing is based on an agreement with the school owner and, where relevant, consent from the student or guardian.
We never sell personal data. Data is only shared with the school the student belongs to, and with data processors we have agreements with for secure operation of the service.
We maintain a contact register of schools, municipalities and county authorities, including the name, role, e-mail and phone number of staff working with career guidance. The details come from publicly available sources such as school and school owner websites, county advisor directories and the Norwegian national school register. The legal basis is legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) to inform them about a relevant professional service. Every e-mail we send explains why the recipient receives it and includes an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing blocks the address permanently. You may request access, correction or deletion at any time at post@synchrocity.ai.
On the public pages we use the Meta Pixel to measure the effect of ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. The pixel only loads if you actively consent in the cookie banner, and it is never active on signed-in pages. We register page views and submitted forms, not the content you write. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing site data for this website, and our own visitor statistics are anonymous and independent of this.
Data is stored for as long as the student uses the service, and is deleted when the school owner terminates the agreement or upon request.
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. Requests can be sent to post@synchrocity.no.
We read the country code from your IP address only to suggest an appropriate language. The IP address itself is not stored.
