Good career learning takes more than a digital tool

Career Compass is meant to be used as part of a planned teaching programme. Student activities must be combined with reflection, dialogue, class activities and active guidance.

The introductory course ensures that the school has the competence needed to use the solution in a pedagogically sound and curriculum-anchored way.

Frequently asked questions

Is Career Compass free?
The school pays no school licence, annual subscription or price per student. At least one responsible teacher or counsellor must, however, complete a mandatory introductory course before teaching starts.
Why is the course mandatory?
Career Compass is built on pedagogical progression, reflection and active guidance. The course ensures that the activities are used in the right context and in line with the intention of the curriculum.
What does the course cost?
The course costs NOK 3,300 excl. VAT, equal to NOK 4,125 incl. VAT per participant.
Do all teachers need to take the course?
The school must have at least one active subject lead who has completed a relevant course. More teachers can take part if the school wants to build a larger professional community.
Does the course have to be repeated every year?
No. The course is completed once per participant. The school must still have at least one active subject lead who has completed it.
What happens if the certified teacher leaves?
The school must appoint a new subject lead who completes the course before taking over responsibility for the use of Career Compass.
Are there any costs after the course?
There is no school licence, annual subscription fee or price per student for the basic solution described here.
